Downblast
A downloadable game
This game was made for the Brackeys Game Jam 2021!
When I started the Jam I already had the project going for about 2 hours and I already had a plan for the game in my mind. I wanted to make a Rougelite! I adapted my plans to fit the given time and scale of the jam. The Project will be continued after the jam :)
You have to descend into the caves deep down to face the evil "Chaos"! Once you beat him you can still play further.
Controls:
A/D = Left/Right
W/Space = Jump;
S = Fall through Platform
Move Mouse = Change direction
Mouse Button Left = Shoot
Mouse Button Right = Meele
Bugs I know about:
- Sometimes the snails crawl under the ground
- The SFX/Music volume can sometimes only be turned down xD
- Energy Orbs get stuck in the ground
- You can´t continue your run sometimes because you get stuck in the ground
To fix the SFX/Music Bug you can
-> search for %localappdata% and open the Downblast folder
-> change audio_volume to a value (0-1)

The .exe is a Windows Installer
The .zip is a zip folder wich needs to be extracted. Then you will find a .exe which can be run.

Hey!
Just tried your game and it pretty fun!
Took me a while to notice I was able to douple jump, but it saved me a couple times after discovering that!
I like the aestethics and the main music refuses to leave my mind. I really enjoyed the experience and I'm looking forward the future releases after the Jam, as you mention in your game page description :D
As for bugs, I only experiences one that you already mentioned: orbs stuck into the ground. Nothing game breaking so my experience was not affected by this little issue :3
